Work Opportunities

Want to get involved with Classworks Theatre?  We regularly accept volunteers on work placements to help run our youth theatres or get involved with administration in the office or the costume store.  Please ring or email us to find out more. Here are some examples of what you could get involved with:-

Volunteer Administrator

As Administrator, some of the things you may get involved with include;

-interviewing/collecting case studies, anecdotes, stories etc, about our youth theatre members.
-assisting with marketing including direct mails and database development, leaflet and poster distribution.

This position is likely to suit an undergraduate or recent graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Arts Administration or Arts Management. Please get in touch for further information.

Volunteer Youth Theatre Assistant

Classworks are looking for a young person aged 18+ who would like to volunteer with our youth theatre groups.  As a minimum requirement, you need to be able to attend at least one of the sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and like working with young people aged 11+.

Previous volunteers have assisted the Youth Theatre Director which included running their own devised mini-workshops with groups of the young people, directing scenes and stage managing the final performances of the youth theatres’ productions.

If you are looking for a chance to volunteer with dynamic, motivated young people and perhaps gain some more experience for your CV in this field, Classworks would be happy to offer you the opportunities and advice required.

Calling artists & performers

We are always looking for talented guest tutors, including performers, musicians, visual artists, choreographers, dancers etc, to work with us on our productions and with our youth theatres.  We  particularly encourage applications for new graduates just starting out.  Get in touch and show us what you can do!
