Classworks Youth Theatres

Classworks runs 3 youth theatres - A Workshop Group for ages 11-16 years; a Performance Group for ages 14-18 years; and an Experimental Workshop Group for ages 18-25 years.

We are open to all young people regardless of ability or experience and we don’t hold auditions. You will get to work with some exciting artists, performers and professional companies, perform in some unusual spaces, work on text based pieces with a writer, or devise something new.

All the groups will have opportunities to perform to an audience, go on theatre trips, register for the Arts Award.  When possible we also offer young people the chance to work in other areas of theatre, such as writing, directing or backstage.   Whatever you do, we will help you be creative, imaginative and bold.

Our fees start at £35 per term (Working out at £3.50 per session!) and we offer a bursary scheme, so please get in touch to find out more about this if you cannot afford to pay the full fee.

You can join the Workshop Groups at any time, but the Performance Group only recruits in February and September.  We operate on a first come, first served basis.
